Tree cutter Eugenijus (58) assures that starting his business may seem ridiculous to some: always fascinated by bears climbing a tree, one day he decided to try to climb into the tree himself. He was 50years old that day, 2012 went on. After an unsuccessful attempt to climb a tree, a man working for a construction company, Eugenijus, started to watch videos about arborists and wondered in the equipment they use. Eugenijus made a special hooks for his shoes by himself. At the time, his friend bought a collective garden densely overgrown with mature trees and asked him the plot to be cleared. “It was an amazing practice” – laughs the tree cutter. – I really enjoyed climbing trees. My friend told his friends and acquaintances about me and my new hobby, and then, all of a sudden, orders came up. I worked on weekends and evenings – in my free time after my main job. I was glad to be invited to remove old and dangerous trees – I was calm that I would not damage the tree by climbing with my special shoes, and I also felt that I was rescuing people and buildings from dangerous trees that could fall.
Two years after the start of the business, the tree cutter had so many orders that he realized he has to choose between staying in a construction company or developing his own business. By choosing the latter, he still has beloved job. A man with a high altitude certificate is most pleased not only with the improved financial situation of the family but also with the opportunity to plan his own time and improved health.
