Nikolay always wanted to have his own business, loved production, and worked with foundry equipment.
“Once my friend said that blinds are in demand, the topic is in demand, and the market is empty. All blinds are imported from Poland and China”, – said Nikolay. – “And then I decided to study this issue and realized that it is necessary to organize import substitution.”
Nikolay created an enterprise for the production of blinds, spare parts and accessories for them. He developed the design of some spare part himself and put them into production. First, the products were sold in Belarus, then they entered the markets of Ukraine, Russia, the Czech Republic and other countries.
“Of course, there were also difficult times when it was difficult to sell. We had to work on improving the quality of products by purchasing modern equipment and improving technological processes. There were times of tough competition, cases of non-payments by individuals and legal entities and outright fraud. For example, we recently bought new special equipment, but it turned out to be faulty, and there was a need to repair it”, says Nikolay. “I experienced different emotions from business, but the main ones are satisfaction that I was able to open my own business and I am its owner. Besides, I am the only manufacturer in Belarus of certain types of products, for example, of the control rod of the rotary mechanism of the blinds”, says Nikolay with pride.
